Bharat Scout And Guide

The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) is the national Scouting and Guiding organization of India, dedicated to the all-round development of young people through a value-based and skill-oriented program. Founded in 1950 through the merger of various scouting movements, BSG is affiliated with the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). The mission of BSG is to contribute to the education of young people, helping them build character, develop leadership skills, learn self-reliance, and become responsible citizens who actively participate in community service. Its programs are structured into different sections based on age groups—such as Cubs and Bulbuls, Scouts and Guides, Rovers and Rangers. Activities include camping, hiking, social service, environmental projects, and skill development, all of which promote teamwork, discipline, and patriotism. The Bharat Scouts and Guides play a crucial role in nurturing the youth of India to become confident, compassionate, and service-minded individuals.
