NVS

NVS, or Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It manages the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs)—a network of residential schools aimed at providing quality education to talented students predominantly from rural areas. These schools are fully funded by the central government and offer free education from Class VI to XII, including boarding, meals, and uniforms. Admission is primarily through a selection test conducted at the district level. NVS focuses on academic excellence, personality development, and equal opportunity, promoting national integration by encouraging inter-regional student migration. With a strong emphasis on holistic education, NVS plays a key role in nurturing young minds and empowering underprivileged children to reach their full potential.
